Advanced underwater Photographic Workshops UK & Worldwide
21st Sept to 6th Oct 2008 Manado
This course is designed for photographers who have experience of taking underwater photographs and want to learn new and advanced techniques and to expand their knowledge of underwater photography. It also covers the mental approach to achieving impressive underwater photographs.
The aim of the workshops is to demonstrate advanced underwater photographic techniques and how they are achieved, both in macro and wide-angel scenarios.
Specifically this includes
The psychology of underwater photography
Composition in its advanced forms (what makes a dynamic shot)
Special in-camera techniques
Single and dual flash use
Use of available light as a creative tool
How to select and care for camera equipment including housings and digital cameras
Participants should have achieved a competent level of diving skills and be at home in their environment to deal with the extra demands of underwater photography.
When working in UK waters this is, of course, especially true. This can be undertaken as a two, four or six day workshop which will include discussion, practical demonstration, slide shows and most importantly two dives a day.
Prior to this course a questionnaire will be sent to each student to assess the knowledge of the individual and what they want to achieve.
