Beginners underwater photographic Workshops

Courses at Leybourne Lake, Kent on the following dates

24th and 25th May 2008

To demonstrate and explain basic photographic principles, composition, including principles of exposure and focus.

The use of strobe's and available light, camera-handling techniques, and the mental approach to achieve the underwater photographers goals.

How to select, prepare, care for and maintain underwater photographic equipment, before and after each dive.

This course is aimed at people who have no or very little experience of underwater photography. It would be carried out over a two day period. Each day would be made up of discussion, and slide shows.

Practical demonstrations and two dives a day. Photographic processing on an overnight basis would be available to assess student's progress and correct any problems that may occur. From a student perspective it gives them encouragement and a sense of how they are progressing. Dive qualifications are a minimus of PADI Advanced Open Water or other agency equivilent.

Leybourne Lake has been chosen as the venue for these courses providing the least challenging diving so as to allow maximum focus on underwater photography
